Ryerson Hill
Ryerson Hill is a granite pegmatite. It was searched for good quality feldspar and mica in the era when there was a high demand for those minerals. There are many test pits in the area for this
reason. The main quarries were recently worked by Dick Dionne and he recorded forty-five different minerals. Ryerson Hill is well known for its micro xls of rare phosphate species associated with triphylite.
Western Maine Mineral Adventures hopes to uncover more amazing specimens in the future.
